Are you ‘Guilty’?

Guilt is an emotional experience that occurs when a person believes or realizes—accurately or not—that they have compromised their own standards of conduct or have violated universal moral standards and bear significant responsibility for that violation.

This is what Wikipedia had to say about it. But in my sense and in my life, this word means a lot more than what Wikipedia explained. I have been criticized a lot for using this word in places I shouldn’t have. So, I thought that I would try and help you out to not be criticized about being guilty. And know actually if you are ‘guilty’.

The meaning of guilt would vary from person to person and from reason to reason because of which the person is guilty. Sometimes, when you (later) realize the actual reason for your guilt you may feel stupid and maybe even sometimes deeply angry on yourself. I also want to mention, that here I am only talking about the emotion guilt and not about any other form of guilt (like the guilt of a criminal).

First, something that you think is wrong but is actually not. Either, you want to improve on it or you actually think that your actions or anything has affected someone. To rectify this, you should be introspecting. If this guilt is about something that you have done or made and you don’t think it actually is that good, then that is not very bad because this will help you improve, it doesn’t matter even if you are good enough.

Second, something that actually is wrong and you realize it very late, you feel very guilty. According to me this is the worst form of guilt. But when something like this happens, you should always remember that, “Nothing is that bad that it can’t be fixed even a little”. Try with whatever you got, try to fix it as much as you can. You should think about all the possible ways to deal with it. The best thing that can happen in this situation is if you realize it much before something more serious happens, in that case you should not wait for anything but try and fix it.

Third, something that people think are wrong and you think is right. In this, you realize really late about it. Also, for a long time you don’t even remember it as much, but when you remember it or are reminded about it, you feel really bad about it. Just like the last time you should try your level best to fix it but this time you should keep in mind that this was a really bad mess up and it was made quite a while ago. Still, you should try in every possible way to fix it. It will also depend on the severity of the incident. If it is about a person then you should keep in mind how close you are to that person and act accordingly.

At the end I just want to tell you that it is not possible that you are hundred per cent right at all times. So, you should be careful about whatever you say or do.

I hope I am able to explain the actual concept of guilt. All the best, stay safe, ’till we meet again.

Peace of mind in the pandemic

The pandemic has really disturbed the people and is said to have a huge result on the world after it passes. The crashing of the world economy and all. People these days are always worried and in a bad state of mind. The death counts all over the world, the number of victims and everything is having a huge impact on the psyche of the people. People are always checking the numbers as if it is some sports score, this is what you call human psychology. We need to concentrate on the good things that has happened due to the COVID-19 or the lockdown. The pollution all over has decreased very much, families have come closer. People have discovered their secret talents and tried to improve with the talents they had. We all know that the main difference between a bad phase and a bad phrase is that a bad phase passes and bad phrase stays in the heart for a lifetime. So try not to tell bad phrase to anyone and try to uplift the mood of the people around you. I have seen people sing inspiring and feel-good songs. Influencers are advising people to stay happy, stay positive and spread positiveness.

To conclude I would say that please be happy because there is already a lot of sadness around the world. Stay positive, stay home and stay safe. Till next time.

Perfectionists are just well-know beginners

It is a very common perception of a lot of people around. The one who has achieved a lot in their life are considered to be perfectionists and are also told that it was the luck which supported them. I partially agree with this. My point here is if they didn’t try at the beginning then it wouldn’t have occurred. They worked day and night with the utmost dedication and reached this level of recognition. People like Jeff Bezos or Sundar Pichai or the second youngest billionaire of Indian and the Founder of OYO Rooms, Ritesh Agarwal. They all start with an idea and the will to accomplish. The Ritesh Agarwal started his work to redecorate hotels by his own and now has more than 2,000 hotels. They began with whatever they had and accomplished something as big. If you have the spark within yourself and you know that you can go for it then you should. Let’s not be perfect in the first chance and just begin with an idea. All the best and till we meet again.

Why I am here?

Greetings to all my readers. My (pen) name is Shumon. I am writer by passion and still a high-school student. I have been writing for a year and a half on Instagram and Wattpad. I was very much eager to start a blog but was not finding the right place to start. But now here I am on WordPress.com. This is my first blog so I was a tad bit nervous, I know this maybe a bit immature and childish but this is my first try. I am sure that I will improve with time. I don’t have much to say now or maybe I am afraid to say anything big as yet. I will, very soon, come back to write a blog. For now, please subscribe down below and stay tuned for more. And also follow me on Instagram at @itsmeshumon.
